Casa D’Almear Selection
Casa D’Almear Selection is a fruity red wine with a very elegant style.
The Casa D'Almear Selection is produced from a careful assemblage of grapes from the 50% Tinta Roriz, 30% Syrah, and 20% Touriga Nacional varieties.
The harvest is late and made entirely by hand, starting from the end of September and beginning of October.
Pressing after total destemming with exclusive use of free run juice.
The alcoholic fermentation occurs for 10 days, in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature, not exceeding 22 ºC.
About 50% of Casa D'Almear Selection is aged in french oak barrels, and the other 50% of this wine is aged in stainless steel vats with american oak shavings, for 12 months.
