The Drink & Taste Bairrada event celebrates with Casa D'Almear the best that is produced in the wine region.
Casa D'Almear will be present at 'Here in Bairrada - Drink & Taste 2019', an event to be held on the 14th and 15th of September, at the Sports Pavilion in Anadia between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm, and 3:00 pm and 8:00 pm, respectively.
The Bairrada Vitivinicultural Commission challenged producers in the demarcated region to test their nectars, from great references to their most recent labels. Among sparkling wines, whites, rosés and reds, all with 'Denomination of Origin DO Bairrada' and 'IG Beira Atlântico' certification, emphasis will be given to the diversity and quality of the nectars, as well as the typicality of the bairradine terroir, once we are in the time of year usually dedicated to harvesting, with vineyards and wineries taking center stage in the sector.
'Aqui na Bairrada - Beber & Saborear' maintains the format of previous years, with the wine and flavors fair, complemented by two commented wine tastings, one at 14 and the other at 15, by wine critic Luís Ramos Lopes - Wines Great Choices.
The affirmation of Bairrada's identity is also made through its gastronomy, such as the 'Leitão da Bairrada', the 'Pão da Mealhada', and the very rich regional sweets, such as the 'ovo moles de Aveiro', the 'Amores da Curia ', the' Queijadas de Águeda ', the' Folar de Vale de Ílhavo ', among other sweet delicacies.
On the 13th of September, the morning is reserved for the ‘Bairrada Wine and Sparkling Contest ', and the promotion and delivery of prizes takes place that same night, during a dinner that will bring together producers and some guests.
The event is organized by the Comissão Vitivinícola da Bairrada, the Rota da Bairrada and the Municipality of Anadia, with the support of the Tourism Organization of the Center of Portugal and the Instituto da Vinha e do Vinho.
