The Old, very Noble, always Loyal and Unvanquished city of Porto, receives the Bairrada wine region.
Casa D’Almear is present in the 1st edition of ‘Bairrada at Porto’. The debut event will take place next Sunday, November 18th, from 3 pm to 8 pm, at Palácio do Freixo, located on the banks of the Douro River, in Porto.
In this first 'Bairrada in Porto', the Bairrada Vitivinicultural Commission invites producers from the demarcated region to take their sparkling wines and wines to Cidade Invicta, to present the great wine references, as well as their most recent labels.
This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your knowledge of Bairrada wines and sparkling wines and to contact some of the producers present. At the same time, ‘Bairrada in Porto’ may enable contact with other professionals in the wine sector, such as sommeliers, distributors, new media, and other players in promoting Bairrada products. Come and discover the whole tourist offer of the region, through the Rota da Bairrada Association, and also enjoy the gastronomy and the regional sweets.
The event has two Commented Tastings, a sparkling tasting called ‘Bairrada, the kingdom of bubbles’ at 4:30 pm, and a red wine tasting titled ‘Bairrada de Culto’ at 6:30 pm, both with mandatory registration on site. The excellence of bairradine nectars under the watchful eye of journalists and wine critics Luís Costa and Alexandre Lalas.
The doors of the event are open to all who want to visit it. In the case of a wine event, it implies the purchase of the respective tasting glass.
‘Bairrada in Porto’ is organized by the Bairrada Vitivinicultural Commission, has the production of Essência do Vinho, and is co-financed by Centro2020.
